You've promoted yourself to elite level lifter now?

you are actually the one that so-called derailed the thread if that's what you mean you numpty

when did I promote myself to elite level?
My first post in this thread was actually my opinion on the UGE belt, then you come along with all your know everything bullshit.
My eventual rant was directed at CT, who never seems to contribute anything.

Bullshit, you're a troll. You came into JZ's thread hoping for a bite. You jumped into the PB thread's big-noting yourself, yet you've never backed up anything you've said.
I'll feed the troll no more.

its like talking to children you asked my opinion I gave it.

thats your problem what you think of me, not mine.

If you are competing , the best belt would of course be the one that meets the specifications in the rule book. For PA that choice seems quite limited nowadays.

I bought a cheap as shit single prong PL belt made in India and it has enough flex in it to retain some mobility but a little more support than the flimsy things the pure WL uses - they don't tend to lean forward when they squat. I think the bite of the uniform width PL belt into the pelvic area probably serves as more of a lifting cue than a meaningful support system.

gave a couple of my old twin prong belts away when I discovered that my waist and chest measurements had converged.

To answer that question that went off track a bit, not really looking to power lift but my everyday heavy lifting. I have a friend who screwed up his back and I rather be safe than sorry.
would this be a good one->http://www.samedaysupplements.com/s...competition-power-belt-large-model-l6010.html or even ->http://www.samedaysupplements.com/s...r-contour-lifting-belt-large-model-2006l.html ??

For the same price have a look at the UGE belts. There are several members here who have given them good reviews.

^^That's a good price!
Large ones sold out though :(

Was going to get an Iron Tanks one, they're about $125 I think
I like the idea of the lever ones

I have an Iron Tanks one too, I leave it up north for training in the camp gym. It's pretty good, but the UGE is slightly better in quality.

Hasn't the POV that wearing a belt will decrease core activation or lead to a weaker back been dispelled?

unless you've had a hernia or legit powerlifting, i personally don't see the point. just my opinion.
