I am a recent convert to Starting Strength and Barbell training, having used dumbbells and multi-stations for years (not always correctly either). I have found this forum to be a great resource, especially for equipment advice. My first power rack is on the way and yes, I made the mistake of buying some cheap stands that just did not do the job for me. I am never going to lift record amounts of iron, nor do I wish to. The best thing about weight training for me now is that it doesn't feel like work - I actually look forward to each session.

Power Rack

I bought this Force USA one from Little Bloke Fitness. It won't be delivered for a few days. I checked it out at the store and it will suit my needs very well.

Don't worry. Once you get into it, that will reverse completely.......
