For the last 2 years I've made sure I do at least 1 unilateral exercise for each muscle group. I always start with my non dominant side.

I haven't really had any imbalances, but it really emphasises the mind-muscle connection.
 
Most of Hammer strengths line are ISO lateral so clearly it was pretty important to the designer.

the duo squat was one of the first ISO lateral machines, which enabled one to go very deep, with minimal load on the spine/hip.

i personally recomend anyone to use Dumbbells when pressing now and again, a one arm press teaches really good form.

google "infimetric", this is an unknown way to exercise, which is probably the most efficient methods of building strength and size.
