For real or taking the piss?? Why BB and minimal sets.. DB hammers no good?

if you want a strong healthy arm, you will do these, biggest mistake made is doing them with a light weight and marathon sets.

if you can do a third set of 12, then you ain't working hard enough.
its one of the most important single joint movement you'll ever do, a single joint movement that benefits the whole body.
it will also help you chin and pull for many years to come
 
using lats before arms

This is the important part, and a mistake that many people make. From a fully stretched position the first couple of inches of downward movement should be from your lats contracting not your arms/elbows pulling the bar down.

Therein lies your problem. You have to do them isolaterally, across the body with stupid weight, a lot of movement at the shoulder and a bob down movement every rep. Try it out.

This is the kicker, it might not fell bad at the time....

if you look at the mechanics of those biceps, the two fundamental actions, are to suppinated the hand, and then to lift the arm over the head.

If one wants to develop the forearm do wrist curls and their variants.

Make sense to get some forearm benefit out of your curls if you don't work them separately. He's a big muthafuc*er eh.

The Ezybar curls never feels comfy for my elbows. I use the BB but heard suppinated grip is safer for the shoulders when going heavy on curls. This is such an interesting exercise.. I've only started doing curls in the past month or so, never used to do them!

I like doing them seated on an incline to prevent cheating.
