Klokov 157kg clean and strict press, also his 130kg sots press
Anything he does is impressive. The wide grip shoulder lift he does off the ground is impressive I don't m of what it's called, he is in a squat position bar on the ground literally lifts it up and over his head while still crouched.

That's the sots press, 130kg super human shit

I terms of weights, any substantial weight when cleaned from floor and then presses or push pressed above head is my indication of someone very strong.

Klokov one of most impressive.

TBH, strength is applied in different ways in different sports.

Very hard to compare.

A wrestler might not lift much, when compared to a champion lifter, but he will destroy lifter on a mat.

It is all so specific.

I think we are talking about absolute strength here. Take any sport you like, measure a nominated sportsman's ability to produce strength in his favourite move. Then stack it up against the others. You'll find not many sports will produce as much raw absolute strength as say powerlifting, strongman, sumo wrestlers et al.

I am also certain a kick from a ballerina's pointy shoe into the you-know-what is definitely a strong contender. As is @Darkoz;'s suggestion lmao

absolute strength, very few sports to talk about: maybe three powerlifting, Olympic lifting and strongman.

Strong Overall Attributes: special forces soldiers of the world are clear winners.

just body strength: in terms of speed, power, agility and limit strength I give it to the weight lifters or track and field throwers.

Strength is all sport or lift specific. Can't compare sports.

The most popular well payed sports tend to have the best athletes and most of them would have plenty of athletes that could have crossed over to other sports.

I agree with this. Just imagine how many odell manuels there are in NRL alone.

Rocca was also going to be a top thrower before focusing on football.

Many potentially great athletes go where the money is, and may also be influenced by team format.

What do you consider impressively strong?
Bulgarian weightlifters from the 80s, whose strength was at such a level, that it supercompensated for their lack of technique...pulling many a barbell laden with some huge weights back into the line of direct strength, from a line that defied physics.

for sheer power, rather than strength being measured in sports suited to certain levers, I would rank strongman the highest, along with heavier weight lifters and shot putters who must be both exceptionally strong and powerful.

Some of the strongman and shot putters though, near or over 2m tall, may be less suited in weightlifting/powertlifting, but would have few peers with regard to expressing absolute power.

In terms of sport, the ability to apply power (assuming high levels of skill) is what it is all about. That is why the NFL, and most other major sports, emphasise power tests rather than strength feats, albeit that smart weight training is critical to their development.

Of course, some of the heavier Olympic lifters would have incredible leg power.

Having said, I do enjoy the shorties lifting weights above their heads. Thankfully, there are many strength sports for people of all sizes.
