ate at great place many times last five days; Ivanhoe Hotel at Manly. Great value and food, including steaks, pizza, seafood platter.

Also had a nice meal at Chinatown last day, Nine Dragons.

Not so sure about value, but squires loft on Toorak Rd Sth Yarra is the shit, I'm an addict, just need it, I know all you kunce think I'm addicted to yeyo, booze, women and gambling, but they are merely hobbies, squires meat is what I dream about, it's what I crave. The ribs, god those ribs, meat falls off the bone before you get it to your mouth.

Yeah Squires Loft does do great steaks, but your right about value...

The Royal Hotel in Seymour does awesome steaks, and cheap, $26 for the scotch or porterhouse and they are nearly 2in thick and weigh between 500 and 700g....

that place is fantastic!

We had a lamb roast there, which was one of the nicest meals I've ever had.

There's a new place near our work called GRK. It's in mascot. They do traditional Greek souvlaki in all sorts of combos. It's packed everyday. Very tasty.
Also in the same street is the famous Hong Ha that sells Vietnamese rolls. I've never got one, but the lines that are usually 50m long indicate they sell some tasty tucker!!

Crinittis, there is one in Sydney and Carlton Melbourne.
Great food, took the 2 hot girls there for lunch last friday, ordered a whole BBQ chicken and side salad.
Was a little embarrassed ordering a whole chook in front of these 2 skinny chicks, didn't wana look like Henry VIII, especially when I ordered it, the dumb bitch waitress said "half chicken?" I said "no" and pointed to the full chook on the menu, she spits out "the whole chicken?, it's normally shared" I'm thinking "fuk me, say it louder, yes the full fuken chook, stop asking and bring my chook, I'm starving." These 2 were giggling already by then.
But they serve it chopped into 1/4s on a wooden board and arranged flat with BBQ sauce so you don't look like too much of a savage. This chicken just falls off the bone, smashed the whole thing, bit embarrassing but what do you do when you weigh more than the 2 chicks you're with combined.

neddysmith,yes awesome place.

$25 porterhouse, 600gm.

New owner mentioned beef prices have increased 40%, but reluctant to change winning ways.

spent $58 and fed two adults and one six year old with good quality food

pretty much a full house last night, as one table finished, quickly reset for next patron/s.

had a pasta at pelligrini's bourke st for lunch, that was nice too.

my mrs had a chicken parma at Seymour Royal Hotel. Thickest chicken (and nice) I have ever seen on one. Ate half of hers as well.

I normally get 1 or 2 entress first before the main when I know the mains are on the smaller side.

spartacus; Glad you enjoyed, it certainly has top quality pub meals at great prices, the steaks are just fantastic.....

Never found a place that does a Parma big enough.

Albion Hotel Port Melbourne
Parmas is what they specialise in, 22 of them on the menu and they have a giant one as well, get like a free beer or something if you finish it, it's huge, no idea where they got a fuken chicken that big, maybe it's an emu.
Check out their website.

Hahaha emu parma FTW!

Blimey if I had to order 2+ plates of any meal for it to touch the sides, surely that speaks volumes about how stingy the place is on serving size.. Either that or I accidentally ordered from the kids menu.

I have stopped looking for a GOOD, CONSISTENT take away in Perth (especially fish and chips unless I want to take a 45 minute kamikaze drive down to Freo) because they are rarer than hens teeth.
