I injured my triceps tendon about 10 weeks ago and stopped training completely to let it rest.
It didn't recover and gotten slightly worse, and I'm hardly doing any physical activity with my triceps.
It definitely seems like a case of tendonitis and I want to get a cortisone shot.
I've had one before in my wrist about 10 years ago for severe tendonitis from inflamed tendon from overuse, and it cleared up completely and never came back.

Anyway, does anybody know the quickest way to get a shot under ultrasound without messing around too much, quite time poor.
Do I need to go to a sports specialist to get a reference?

Thanks

Sports doc. best bet. Often you need a referral to go to them (e.g. from physio), and they then refer you to the folk who will do the shot...

There may be an MRI required in there as well as there was for me, but at the end of the day, you know it'll be worth it.

Bit of messing around, but I can vouch for them when they done properly... fixed my shoulder up well and good.

Def. be sure to rest it for 2 whole weeks after at least or you'll be going back like I did.

Thanks guys.
I called a Sports specialist/physio and he basically said to just see a GP to get a reference to get my shot.
Book for tomorrow and hopefully can get a direct referral to get the cortisone shot.
Tendonitis is so frustrating....
