Underhand grip row > Overhand

Where exactly did you get the "big pump"?
I'm assuming in your pants if you came, so it's probably not as effective for the back as you think

I suspect it'd be just because its a new exercise for you.

I've done them in the past but always reverted back to normal/overhand grip.

I used to alternate every few weeks, but now to both during a back workout. With underhand I like a narrow grip to get a good burn in the middle back/lower traps and biceps. When going over hand, I use a wide grip to hit a bit of the rear delts as well.

This. Awesome pump to the lats that's for sure. But I've never came from doing these before. What am I doing wrong??

Do I need to attach some fat gripz or what!

Don't think I've used fat gripz for rows, will give it a go... Hopefully this is me and a random gym bunny shortly

OK

For the row to be done properly the hands need to be past mid-line with the torso on contraction, (You can't achieve this with a barbell) so you are able to squeeze the shoulder blades together and I mean really squeeze, not much is happening at the lats in the row, you wont get much lat pump here.

*Grip width on a barbell will not make a significant difference on a barbell or to the exercise, just past shoulder width is the most effective.

If you are using the biceps, your not doing it right.

Why can't the shoulder blades be squeezed hard if a BB is used? Especially if you go narrower with the grip width, puff the chest out and squeeze the blades hard like you're trying to create totally awes back cleavage.
