Unreal mate. You can tell the youngster it was a shark bite when he's older! Coolest dad ever

Things still progressing slowly. My grip isn't 100% yet but improving. According to the hand grip dynamometer my grip is 6kg below form what it should be.
Still pretty good. Only a light sensation with my thumb, index or ring finger, enough to feel hot and cold at least. And enough to do curls for the gurls.....

I actually type with my third finger now. It is to hard to press the keys with my index finger as it is difficult to know if I am pressing or how hard my touch is. I would struggle to finger an overgrown oyster as the sensation is gone and I would probably dig my dirty finger nail in and cause damage.

All this aside I an commencing a full assault on my training from now and until xmass. Joining back up at the loacal gym.I was working out from home but have decided to join the local again for some "Me" time a few hours a week. Waiting for my order from Bulk nutrients.....So look out ....the BVG 2016 Calender coming to your dunny door soon!!!

Just about Full strength back thru the hand...the thumb and index finger are still a bit weak. For example pressing the button on a deodorant can isn't as easy or pressing the button/nozzle on a spray can be a struggle. More due to the lack of feeling in the fingers. I think my hand is about as good as it will get feeling wise.

Now just to get over my sprained elbow/arm. And my right knee has been causing grief the last 4 weeks. Feels unstable, and I get a slight ache when sitting down...especially noticeable when sitting in the car after work. Even walking up stairs I hesitate to put my full body weight onto it. No legs for last 4 weeks and no upper body last 2 weeks. Will have to get this knee checked I think.

Damn, falling apart mate!

True!....old age ... well the sprained arm was from trying to be a zombie skateboarder on Halloween. Dam trick or treater's rocking up on skateboards!

And the knee....who knows....just some clapped out old dude who cant surf the concrete wave!

Haha don't you hate it when you try things that were second nature as a young bloke and fail miserably as an adult!

Back to the hand therapist/surgeon end of this month. Got some lump that is growing slowly just to the right of my scaring. Its about the size of large pea and very hard.
It's not painful to touch but I can start to feel the tightness of it from pressing on the skin or it feels like it might be rubbing on the scar tissue.
Hopefully nothing to serious.

A gang of lions?

Pretty sure this is a ganglion bro...

It is definitely a ganglion:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganglion_cyst:
ultra sound has confirmed this. They are quite common in the hand area or around tendons near hand and feet.

The unfortunate thing is because my tendons and nerves have been previously damaged and the ganglion is growing in this region it will be micro surgery.
The specialist said "it will be a miserable operation" due to the scar tissue in the area. It will also involve my hand being in a cast for 3 weeks with limited mobility.

I have to have another ultra sound in 2 weeks so they can assess how quick it is growing and then they will make a final decision.
50% reduce in size and 50% just keep growing. This seems to be growing at a rapid rate.
Why don't my biceps grow this quick....bro?

The injury I thought was severe. I will never have full nerve sensation/touch or feeling in my hand again.
You sometimes forget how lucky you are .
From seeing some of the other peoples injuries after visiting the hospital for the last 16 months I feel grateful and realise my injury is nothing compared to some of the injuries and stories I heard from patients in the waiting room.
My injury is nothing compared to some of the people I met and seen......
