After thinking about it - I honestly believe the more a beginner trains the better - I would nearly go as far to say a beginner (if possible due to doms - and would prob have to work upto it) - should be training anywhere from 5-7 days a week - and always doing some form of exercises even on a "rest day" be it a walk, some sprints etc - of course still focusing around "core lifts" - but this is where you gain the most, this is where food, training, supplements will make the most difference - when you 1st start - if the person was upto it I would be getting them training each bodypart twice a week, mod sets/reps, high intensity.

Agree. A beginner can easily train every day. They are so weak recovery is easy.

But the three times a week beginner programs are better than what most end up doing.

Supplements are the last thing a beginner needs to worry about.
 
I train a fair few beginners myself and although they are weaker which theoretically means quicker recovery, the mental challenge of training something while it is still sore seems to affect a lot of them. And IDK how many times, I've trained to explain that DOMS is not the most effective measure of progress!

Imo not having doms is a better sign of progress. Need to cool down and stretch after the workout to exercise the next day. Dunno if that's broscience or not though
 
Good point on the doms front... 'oh I'm wrecked, must be gtg' ...

Break the machine, rebuild the machine. It takes time in between.
 
Training to failure all day, every day kunces. The same ones that go 'aware, brah!' to themselves in front of the mirror and throw dumbbells towards the squat rack as you are walking towards it and yelling 'I got this brah, you mirin?'
 
Guys that bloody wear belts for EVERYTHING every gym has one or two of them. They will literally walk in, belt up and do everything but squat and deads (main use of a belt) while wearing it. I've seen guys do calf raises on a machine, with a belt on wtf is wrong with you?!

lmao so its a WEIGHT belt, not a LIFTING belt? I love those kunces.

I am also not a huge fan of the meathead who swear and scream every rep like they are in a porn movie, imagining that this will give him the gainz. Everyone else just just think he's da phagg0t, or is having trouble learning the valsalva.
 
Kunces that pose in front of the mirror between sets or walk up to it lifting their top so they can mire their own abs. Do it at home woofters. Less time 'mirin more time lifting.
 
Bro tip #32 - only take of your jumper when you have a pump going. If that pump starts to subside put jumper back on asap. See a few cox doing this. I lol.
