Tweaking this package deal

Hello , Im in the market for a power rack and some weights etc to get started with .

I have looked at the following package and thought I could upgrade and also lose an item , what do you think ?.

Original Package http://www.gymdirect.com.au/shop/packages/1000-1500/package-deal-2-power-rack-with-high-low-pulley-fibev-flat-incline-bench-olympic-bar-and-145kg-olympic-weights/

My thoughts where to drop the High Low Pulley , just dont know if I would get much use out of it.

Get this flat bench http://www.gymdirect.com.au/shop/strength-equipment/benches/flat-benches/fb1001-commercial-flat-bench/

Swap Racks for this one as I want this style of dip attachment http://www.gymdirect.com.au/shop/strength-equipment/racks/power-racks-and-cages/power-rack-with-dip-bar/

Upgrade the bar with this http://www.gymdirect.com.au/shop/weights-bars-dumbbells/bars/olympic-size/220cm-olympic-barbell-1500lbs/

I could get the weights bar and bench and get the big kahuna rack http://www.gymdirect.com.au/shop/strength-equipment/racks/power-racks-and-cages/commercial-power-rack/

I would need a different dip station with that rack and also make sure the thing fits in my garage as I might have to get rid of a couple more things before I could have some decent clearance around it .

Thanks in advance for any help .

If you're ditching the pulley then it'd be better to change the allocation of plates. Better off having 2 of each smaller plate and then just adding 20s as you go. Unless you're into drop sets.

The way I'd do it would be:

6x 20
2x 10
2x 5
2x 2.5
2x 1.25
2x .50 (if they have them)

Total: 158.5 kg

Thanks Jeff , that configuration is much better but Im not sure if the price would change for the package .

Im currently making some more room in my garage to see if I can squeeze the big rack in otherwise I will have to get the PR1002 rack. I like the dips on that rack and the safeties will not be an issue with space in the garage .

I will have to drop them a line and see if the weights plates can be arranged differently .

I assume it'd be more expensive. If that's an issue I'd get 4x20s, which should drop the price, and get extra 20s as money permits.

If I were buying things again I'd definitely get a rack with plate holders. Just makes things so much more convenient. When you're thinking about how much space you need, consider where you're going to put the plates.

I was told I could hang weight off the band pegs on the PR1002 , I like the commercial rack for the built in rack and it overall weight so I know its not going to move about . I need another 1.2 meters clearance on the safeties out the front of it though .

Okay so I went with the PR1002 rack , commercial flat bench , body solid olympic weight tree , 1500lb bar and the following weights , 2 x 2.5kg , 2 x 5kg , 2 x 10kg , 2 x 20kg and 2 x 25kg .

Rack has been assembled and I will give a review of it soon .
