IS BODYBUILDING A REAL SPORT? - Rich Piana

I think he's mostly oils.

I wanted to say is Motor Racing a sport, is darts a sport etc etc ...........

But I didn't want to watch a Rich Pinner vid.

You know Admin, you post a Rich Pinner vid on some forums and its an instant neggin!

Bodybuilding is not a sport.

A sport has to be competitive, athletic and have an objective judging system.

There are heaps of 'sports' that don't meet all three criteria but we don't have any other name for them so they get called sports.

Yea not sure really I guess its called a "sport" because it doesn't really fall into any bucket - but I guess they don't call Beauty Pageants a sport and its sorta the same I guess....

I dunno haha

To me anything apart from working to earn a living is leisure and sport. Which of course raises yet another fundamental question regarding professional athletes and the millions they make out of their sport. Still, money does not change the entity of what something is, or is not. That's just my opinion re this subject.

Fadi.

Haven't looked at the video, that bloke just *looks* like an plain eedjit.

But the question should be, is it a sport or not?

Seeing as though there is at least some skill and physical exertion involved and they do compete against one another, then I'd say it is a sport.
