Deadlifts

Is it up to personal preference as to which is better - SLDL or RDL?
I do mine with knees unlocked and slightly bent so as to be able to get down to the bar whilst keeping my back flat.
Cue the newbies in the background mentally giggling about how my hips are too high for my 'deadlift'.

Really good question man, sure you could pontificate about it for hours
I like RDL personally, I have a short torso and strong erectors so like to make the movement all hamstrings
