what's inside a golfball

Any golfers on here?

Doesn't really say what's in there - even still why is one better the other?

Are they expensive ones or cheap ones?

Maybe I think about things to much....
 
At school we used to put golf balls in the microwave and what was inside them used to burst out of the side of them. Not sure what golf balls we used but it was like a really tightly wound ball of rubber thread.
