Meat packaging, grams and servings discrepancy?

Bought some chicken wings and pieces today in marinate, packet says:

Contents:
4 servings 150g per serving

1.531kg net weight

OK don't have to be a mathematician to realise 4 lots of 150g = 600g = 0.6kg which is way less than 1.531kg. Are they subtracting the bone weight or something?

To work out the calories I just took the nutrients per 100g and multiplied it by 15.31. Sound ok? Sad times, means the packet had about 2600 calories in those 1.5kg of chicken + sauce.

I started a thread about this, Or hyjacked one of Oni's.....

Its VERY confusing....

I think they must take away bone weight, A chicken wing is like 40% bone or something.

Yes they are very calorie dense, due to all the fat and very little meat.

 Can't be that hard to work out, just looking at the pack you should be able to see if it is 600 gram or 1.5kg??

700 grams of raw wings including the 3rd small wing bit that I cut off and threw out ended up being 400 grams worth of bones. Serving size is probably meat only.

why don't you weigh the bag and see what it weighs
then way individual portion
