dip bar width?

bert.

New member
I do my dips on the bars that clip onto the safteys on my power rack since they are adjustable width wise what what is the ideal width to have them for dips? and is there any advantage to having them wider or narrower?

vonfram88 had some good tips, he posted them in my log or somewhere else (i forget, see if you can search for his name + 'dips'). I believe he said to have the bars arm pit width (so pretty narrow).

Yeah I like to where I can have them just wide enough to fit in and dip, so armpit width sounds about right.
