Married People With Kids And Training

I actually make an effort to spend time with my wife and kids in the evening.. But hey, you've always got the 1960s to look forward to.

Not sure what you are getting at, spend plenty of time with the kids and wife, however training time (about 4 hours a week) is my time, don't think 4hrs out of a whole week which has 168 hours is a lot to ask, when I train everyone leaves me alone, kids and wife. Take out 56 hours for sleeping and 40hrs for working, still leaves me about 68 hours to spend with family and wife every week.

And yes may be if most kids in this day and age got the discipline and time spend with them that mine have they would also respect their parents 'me' time without interfering with it.

Kids need to adapt to your lifestyle, not the other way around, if you are revolving your lifestyle to suit everyone else's needs you are doing it wrong.

You have some fukn backwards ideas Mick. I feel sorry for your family.

How so??

Please explain??

So your family does not give you four free hours a week to do your own thing or to follow your interests?? I feel sorry for you mate, life must suck with your balls in your wife's purse.

Feel sorry for my family..haha, they have the life I wish I had when I was a kid, play sports, go swimming, go camping, horse riding, fishing, shooting, archery, spend time on the farm with lambs, calfs chickens, horses, ponies etc and the list goes on, I feel sorry for 98% of other kids

Here is what my daughter did on the week end just gone…..poor kid, feel sorry for her

my 4 year old daughter is increasingly becoming my training partner.

She has joined me in sprint sessions. Probably will be soon beating me way I am going.

My family doesn't have to "give me" time in between doing what they're told. I give THEM time because I know I can train while my kids sleep. I am out of the house for work 9-10hrs of every day, so I don't see why my kids should have to give up another hour when I get home instead of spending time with them. My kids want for nothing, but that wouldn't mean squat if I didn't spend time enjoying it with them.

^ No child should have to endure that

I know someone call DOCS:p

PS the son was off riding dirt bikes with one of his school mates, he don't like horses.

Can't say I like them much either, but daughter is horse mad, rides all by herself now:)

Kids do what they are told when they are told, they know not to disturb me when I am training.

What planet are you on? Mine taunt me when I train. Patience is being squirted in the face with a water pistol filled with vinegar while you are squatting. If they knew where the pepper spray is being kept now I'm sure they would use it. That's another story.

It's school holidays now, so I've been getting up at 5am and training so I'm done by the time everyone is up. Usually I'm training straight after work while they're still at school. Then ill cook dinner so wifey can relax once she's home. It can be done, I just get up real early or squeeze it in while no ones home!

What joaren't you guys have to get a lunch break long enough to fit in a gym session?? My lunch is usually barely long enough to have a quick feed then back into it, or eat on the run while checking emails or stopped on the side of the road while driving to a job.

Never had a job where my lunch went for hours.

Anyway, I generally just train when I get home from work, not sure how kids have any effect on it?? Kids do what they are told when they are told, they know not to disturb me when I am training.

Missus?? Not sure what she has to do with it either, she is too busy in the kitchen preparing dinner while I train.

Damn straight....

Bitch why arent you in the kitchen cooking huh????
