Hi all

I have started to train in the morning (pre5am) and I am struggling to find a quick and healthy energy boost that is not heavy on the gut. Not Into per workout drinks as I find them harsh on my stomach. Any ideas please.

eat more the night before, or just dont eat and you will get used to it

when i feel i MUST have something, a banana and a cold glass of water

Have you tried making a bulletproof coffee??
Make a normal coffee then put it in the blender with a teaspoon of unsalted butter (unsalted is important) and a teaspoon of coconut oil.
Energy for hours. Just started making them after a mate put me onto them.

Big carb meal the night before and just have coffee, no sugar use stevia or another sweetener but you can add fat like double cream, coconut oil etc.

That sounds good mate :)

I used to train at 4.30 am, when I think about it now, I can't believe I used to go that early but when I was, I would either have a banana or some dried apricot before training.

I read this somewhere (butter in coffee) and it's benefits.
I put a small Dob of butter in my oats.
