Does this happen every night?

Getting an unbroken nights sleep is your primary goal, you know how important this is for repair and growth and recording the previous days events.

Use breakfast to break the fast.

I'm just gonna take zma tablets for a while helps with my bloatness in the morning

Sorry to read this, I hope the ZMA works for you.
Have you seen a GP?

I know a handful of people that have benefitted seeing a sleep specialist.

I'd neck myself if I had the same problem, it must be tough.

Yeh I have and I gotta pay $300 to see a specialist, and I think the machine is pricie too, it can be tough even when your hard earned training doesn't show

Do you wake up hungry or do you wake up regardless??

If you wake up hungry, make sure you have some food prior to bed.

ZMA is supposed to help, I tried it made no difference for me.

I would personally stay away from any prescription medication, I would try some 'home style' remedies first. Universal Nutrition do a recovery PM sleep pack that is supposed to help you sleep.

Universal Nutrition

I do have and use this from time to time, not a bad tea:

Red Seal Relaxing Herbal 25Teabags

There are also plenty of natural sleep supplements, unsure how well they work though:)

You must go to bed early or eat dinner late.

PS I believe most people would eat dinner, so it's probably a pointless comment just to stir the pot, as it adds nothing useful to the discussion.

I have dinner generally between 5 and 6 pm, then I go to bed at generally between 11pm and midnight and get up around 6-7am the next morning, so there is generally 6 hours of no food before I even get to bed, then a further 7-8 hours before I get up then I generally don't eat till about 9am-10am as I don't really like eating first thing when I get up usually eat for morning tea at work.

So I get hungry. So I have a shake to stop this from happening, save me having another meal and getting fat from excess calories. When I was younger and tended not to put on fat I used to eat 2-3 peanut butter sandwiches before bed washed down with a large glass of milk to stop me waking up hungry, unfortunately if I did this today I would look like the michelin man.

And yes I also eat dinner, and I am sure the OP also had dinner, so I would not really consider it strange as you suggested in your pointless post.

Just gets a bit tiring and boring at times, what are you here for?? Just to stir the pot and not really add anything useful??

I'm totally serious. I love a big dinner, i make sure I allow enough calories that dinner is big enough that I'm not hungry and then fit in a dessert of some sort.

With some of the diet fads going around making people think that eating later at night is bad then they go to bed hungry and wonder why they end up raiding the fridge. Later at night is when most people get the hunger cravings. So instead of fighting it structure your diet around it and allow more calories then.
