Bench and Deadlift Comp and Brisbane Fitness Expo

We are pleased to announce that there will be an invitational sanctioned Bench Press competition on Saturday the 12th of October, and a Deadlift competiton on Sunday the 13th of October held during the 3rd annual Health and Fitness expo (http://www.facebook.com/brisbanefitnessexpo) at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The event will be run by Ptc Brisbane in conjunction with the team at the Brisbane Health and Fintess Expo.

We are now looking for cash sponsorship to entice the best lifters within GPC Australia to make it out for the event. If any companies are interested in seeing our sponsorship proposal, please do not hesitate to contact us, PTC Brisbane or Scott Wasson (0400 31 9394) for further details.

There will be 10 lifting slots available on each day for the best 7 men and 3 women that GPC has to offer, so train hard

What sort of deadlift would I need at under 70kg to qualify for such an event in the future?

If just 10 lifters, probably 240+ lol

If you can be assed working out Glossy/Siff it will give you a better idea

Im still working it out with the expo, but we may have a minimum of say

60kg bench opener for the girls, and a 125kg deadlift
160kg opener for the men and 280kg for the deadlift.

Depends on what we decide will draw the biggest crowed.

If you can hit the opener, the winners will be worked out on gloss.

Thats just one option, the full details will be worked out in the coming weeks.
