Competing is for losers, constantly talking about how strong you are but never actually competing is where it's at!
What about constantly getting stronger, without much chance of *ever* claiming to be strong... and never actually competing?

Is that merely acceptable, or just as awesome as what you posted?

(Yes, that's how I'll probably be proceeding, just for the record.)

edit: Also, would you suggest that people in general should attempt to compete in sports they have no chance of winning a damn thing in? In other words, competing without being remotely competitive. Just curious. :)

I was just taking the piss mate. Getting stronger, being humble & never competing is completely fine with me.
Your second question is a tough one. To be honest I wouldn't have competed in SM or PL if I didn't think I could win or do very well but that's just me. I'm a competitive fuck haha.

Competed in a novice comp...and really want to compete more...
Love lifting heavy and training for strength, but I feel 2013 will be a year of cutting fat and re-habbing a shoulder injury I stupidly neglected in the latter part of 2012. But I'm still hoping to add up to 40kg to each lift this year...optimistic I know!
