Serious case of child neglect...

Meh, it's Texas. This is the same place in the US that people are not only allowed but willing to go buy a crotch rocket when they've never ridden one before, and then test it out on a suburban street.

I read this on Courthouse News about a week ago. One of the reasons the woman was arrested is the neighbor told the cop that she'd once hit one of the kids with her car because he/she was riding dangerously.

If they were, then sure... I think it's a case for the cops, people could get seriously injured or killed if they try to avoid these kids on the road. If they weren't, she probably had some other beef with the neighbor and it's gotten well out of proportion.

The bit that gets me is that this has turned into an opportunity for this woman to come out and say, "handcuffing me aggravated old back injuries - I'm suing the county" and "I had to pay to take my kids to the CPS in Houston - I'm suing." Agh.

shoot all lawyers ?
I think the firing squad should be reserved for people who think they can get out of working for a few years by suing the county/state, claiming the most ridiculous things.

We're so sue-happy in my country. Makes me wanna sue. Also puke. Mostly puke.
