Surgery under general on Wednesday and they mucked about for an hour and a half. Some bone removed, ligaments debrided, tendon cleaned up, cyst and scar tissue removed.

Bandage off on Friday.

Hi Peanutz - good luck with recovery...

What did you do to your wrist? Can you elaborate on the surgery you needed? I have an ECU injury at the moment (12 weeks on) and have read storieds about surgery repair of ECU tendon/subsheath.

i broke it 15 years ago, and it didn't set properly - i had some bone fragments that settled between carples and this caused swelling and scar tissue which damaged the tendons / ligaments.

it no longer hurts, and the lump that i had there has gone for good, but the damage remains even after physio - less grip strength and less flexibility. i had a great hand surgeon, he did what he could.

I caved in my whole left hand once, had to have two surgeries to have pins and screws inserted to rebuild my hand, fun. Hope your's is better.
