topic of the week -What do you wish you had known from the beginning?

Same as most other people on here, wish I squatted, deadlifted and benched from the start and not muck around with bullshit.
I wasted a long time not eating properly, sucking piss most days and not lifting heavy (I still don't lift heavy compared to most:D) and wondering why nothing was changing.
 
That there is no special routine, no secret exercises or optimal set and rep scheme and all you needed was consistency

I used to troll me hard when I saw people in the gym with their absolute car crash routines yet looked better than me when I was training "perfectly" when all I really needed to do was keep doing the same shit for a while

I agree with that but i would add consistently working hard on the big exercises.

Eg being consistent on tricep kickbacks isn't going to do shit.

Yeah, I new from the start that the big exercises were the key though :p
