Birds

Bought this for my cockatiels. Ive had thier wings clipped and would just like them inside all the time now. One survived a fox/cat(?) attack and is now missing a part of her wing. I've had them in a solid cage outside so not sure how to explain a chunk of feathers pulled out and a bite, plus terrible bruising under the wing. :(

Might be a snake Kaz??? Don't know how likely that is where you are but snakes are really good at getting through mesh before they eat a bird. Not so good getting out afterwards, fat snakes don't fit through mesh as well. They are pretty easy to catch but only once it's too late for the bird.

I have red bellies in my area but this definitely ain't a snake bite, I did have to save a young snake from my ferret cage last year!
The cocktails feathers were in a chunk on the ground together like they were spat out!

one of my turk parrots died , think the bourke parrot attacked it as it got close to the nesting box

Awww sad! :(

My new chickens are spending their first night in the infamous chook shed. Trap set for foxes, my neighbour has traps set also......
