I must say: it’s an exceptional feeling when one hits the groove in the snatch lift. It’s where nothing can go wrong not matter what you do. It’s no different to hitting the groove whilst playing a musical instrument… only sweet and moving music seems to be expressed by the player/lifter when that moment in time is achieved. Of course, hours/years of practise have gone by in order to attain such a moment.

Only a black man can jump like that

I think anyone that has the power generation to snatch 157kg at 85kg bodyweight could probably jump like that. Oly lifting is used a lot in sports training for this purpose.

But yes, I do blame my skin color on my jumping inabilities.
