deep tried to do it the first time she was at my gym. She got through one and I told her to get off and promise to never taint the gym again. LOL

And i will do a kipping pull up again. Every one looks and stares!

This isn't a cross fit thread..... its comparing 2 exercises and their uses.
Kipping pull ups were around before crossfit.....

Kipping Pull ups are for full body strength and conditioning

Strict pull up from a dead hang is primarily for building direct upper body strength
how is a kipping pull up a full body strength exercise? u hang from your hands, flick your legs and pull with your upper body... the legs do nothing to gain strength. they just give your body momentum to make it easier for the upper body to pull....
 
But the GIF was a kipping pull up.. although the comment was a bit out there.

Sorry, but that's laughable.

Be consistent. If you are gonna be harsh enough to delete other people's posts because they're unrelated to the topic (even though you claim to enjoy a laugh), then at least have the integrity to also do it to a mod.
 
Maybe no one does support them..I dunno, I have not done them so i can't really elaborate.

They do look mighty funny though.

Its a kick, a snap at the hips, motion from the back muscles tighten to pull into a chin up. Its full body use.
