Wanderlai out of Sonnen fight, Belfort to fill in and fight Sonnen....

http://www.mmaweekly.com/ufc-confir...-in-vs-chael-sonnen-at-ufc-175-with-one-hitch

Sonnen has been saying for quite some time that Sliva ducks certain fights and that Sonnen v Silva won't happen due to this.

And you gotta agree with him to some extent and give Sonnen some credit, he gets in the cage with anyone and in fact chases the big fights, like Anderson (twice), Jones etc

l think Wandy is done to be honest, he doesn't seem in it anymore and his mystique of being the Axe Murderer has well and truly gone. He's no longer this feared berserker nobody wants to fight, he's over the hill and l'm assuming from the ducking of tests and what not on his own form of TRT.... He came off pretty bad on TUF as well which doesn't help either.

l think Non TRT belfort still beats non TRT sonnen though... l hope l'm wrong as l'm not a big fan of Belfort but l don't see sonnen winning this one.

yeah Pretty much this, even the guys on Sonnens team were saying how good he is regardless of stuff he had previously said. Sonnen has certainly gotten under Wanys skin and he has lost the plot a bit, just seems all a bit suss he didn't apply for a license and has been dodging tests in the lead up tot he fight, at least Sonnen while disagreeing with the decision has accepted it and moved on and now is supposedly fighting clean as others have done.

If Sonnen can get Belfort down I think he can win, if it stays standing the Belfort gets the win, I think it is as simple as that.

It's just tough for sonnen to win when you're strategy is to GNP your way to a decision win. He has to control belfort for 3-5 rounds (im assuming 5)(is this fight at MW by the way?) to pick up the W were Belfort can get a flash KO at any moment more or less in the fight. Again, l do hope sonnen wins though....

X-Factor in this fight, who deals better without their TRT? Belfort is a confidence fighter, methinks Sonnen stands a chance of breaking him before they even set foot in the octagon.

lt'll be interesting to see what belfort looks like at the weigh ins as well, l'm sure it'll be pretty far apart from what he looked like on "TRT". Him at 205 now wouldn't be pretty i'd imagine.

Hopefully Sonnen does mentally fuck him before the fight so he blows his gas tank in the first trying for a finish that's far off. Interesting fight if it gets past the 3rd though.

KFG's picks for the Fight night card. The card looks better than the previous 2 cards that were on last week, hell it's even better than both of them if you combined the best fights on name value.

Benson Henderson vs Rustam Khabilov - Henderson via his 9th consecutive decision win in the ufc. Not really too high on watching benson fights to be honest.
Diego Sanchez vs Ross Pearson - Pearson via decision. Pretty lop sided as well l think after diego takes round 1. l think Diego might be shot to be honest even though he said he had food poisoning in his last fight he hasn't looked great in a while. l think his last good win was either against Paulo Thiago (if you want to count that as a solid w) or against Guida back in 09.
John Dodson vs John Moroga - Dodson via t/ko after moroga fails to make weight. Dodson will than do his little back flips and make that dumbass face like he always does.
RDA vs Jason High - RDA via injury after High becomes the 3rd or 4th victim to that plate he's go in his jaw. Seriously though l do think RDA via submission
Yves Edwards vs Piotr Hallman - No idea who Hallman is to be honest so l'll just go with Edwards...Just looked at their records and l'm thinking they're trying to sell Hallman for a Poland card coming up or something...

l think Sonnen is slightly different to Belfort though who l don't think will be able to get licensed as he failed his last test a month ago or whenever it was. lt wouldn't surprise me if we didn't see Vitor fight at all this year.

Who have people got for this weekends card as well?

Johnson vs Bagautinov
Woodley vs Rory Macdonald
Ryan Bader vs Rafael Cav
Shaub vs Arlovski
Jimmo vs OSP

Will be interesting to see what they do with Sonnen considering he has admitted taking what he took and claims it as a result of coming off TRT
