How do I lose the fat from my stomach?

Hi just wondering what is the best way to go about getting rid of the fat around my stomach area so my abs can show..

So when I breath out and tense my abs, I can just see the lines around my abs so there's just a little bit of fat on my tummy (about 1-2 CM when i'm tensing) that i wanna get rid of to bring them out..

My question is, Is it all about diet or do I just have to do lots of ab exercises to burn it off?

Also while I'm on this topic, which exercises target the 'V' lines? I already have a pretty good V but would love to tone it up a bit more.... (Never done any ab exercises other than standard crunches which is hardly ever) And what is an over-all good ab routine if anyone has one, to target abs, obliques & the V?

All help appreciated.. Thanks :)

Do the 100 burpee challenge everyday for 2 weeks, LOL, that will bring out the abs if you can already kinda see them. Or just do some other form of HIIT, adjusting the diet of course helps but I can't give advice out on that one. I would imagine you would have to be fairly dialed in on how many cals you consume to cut just enough to bring fat levels down.

As for an Abs routine, I don't directly train them so I can't suggest one. But heavy front squats work well fro abs.

You cant spot reduce fat so working your abs directly wont work. You need to decrease your overall bodyfat percentage to have your abs showing. About 10% seems to be the magic number but can be less in some people.

As Rambo said though, heavy Front Squats will help your cause in a big way.

HIIT is also awesome as well has Tabata Thrusters.

Hey chad

Do u have a bf or gf? Mate of mine reckons you should start looking at missionary type positions

Like everyone else, some form of HITT to lower your BF% and squats and deadlifts to really work your core to bring them out even more

Hey mate yeah I'm currently doing that exercise, hence why my abs are already part showing :)

Thanks for the input guys, will look into HIIT.. No idea what my bodyfat% is atm, would be interesting to find out but pretty sure the only fat I have is on my stomach!! Lol

Cheers, Chad

The most effective way is surgically removing the fat cells.

What some do not understand is, once a fat cell is added it can not be removed.

This thread has turned in to a comedian audition I reckon.. Who's the funniest?

whatever you do dont do a situp at all

according to every single powerlifting hero it will do nothing, even if combined with all the right aspects.

Remember never ever do a situp.

Situps are not called bad because of Powerlifters but because of spinal specialists, exercise specialists etc.

Westside do a alot of direct ab work...

Your attempt at sarcasm fails because;

fatloss is governed by enzymes and hormones not "situps" especially in an area with such profound amounts of alphareceptors..

Topical yohimbine

Calorie deficit

ignorance.

the OP was asking how to lose fat from their stomach. not how to make their abs bigger, sit ups arnt going to do shit for fat loss. and the reason why everyone is saying situps arnt as affective is because there are other exercises that will work them better; such as squats and the ab circle pro :p.
