The bacon thread reminded me of one of my past creations. :eek:


Step 1

Custom BBQ sauce -
* 1/2 cup ketchup
* 2 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar
* 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
* 1 dash hot sauce, such as Tabasco
* 1 clove garlic, crushed
* 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt

Use these for the rub

Step 3 - precook 500g bacon

Step 4 weave bacon

Step 5 500g of pork sausage on top

Step 6 add onion

Step 9 add bbq sauce

step 10 - roll up, fasten with skewers, add "rub" and bbq sauce

step 11 - chuck it in the barbie for about 1.5 hours at 190ish deg. Centre should be 70deg.

Pretty keen to do another one with roo mince instead of pork as I much prefer that. Just crunching some numbers and I think I can make one with 10 serves for 363 cals 7/17/43 C/F/P. That is IIFYM in a nutshell :p
