Candyflip's DEXA scan Sept 2011

7% and still can't see lower abs, they are probably just under developed.

You should have veins running up your abs at 7%

Keyword is "should" :p I'm a former fat boy so not sure if excess skin is an issue? I was expecting about 12% BTW.

And nah, I didn't bother checking the maths as I figured the computer program would be getting that right as it's all automatic. Can't really see how it could get it wrong really?

Anyway, it's just a number to start with for me. Good to have a solid baseline.

edit: I don't think I have underdeveloped abs. Been doing boxing/mma for years and a lot of core stuff done there as well as focussing on big compound lifts primarily. Before my hip injury was doing 3 sets of 8 dragon flags. Can do standing ab wheel rollouts. So I don't think that's the issue.

Actually, it does look right.
You can't just add up the 7 figures and divide by 7 because the volumes of each bodypart are different.
The head puts everything out if you do it this way, and the head is only small volume.

Ahhhh....So as someone else noted elsewhere, it then depends on how they 'draw up' your body in the software, for scanning? So if someone had a much larger head than another for example, that would squew the results?

No it does not matter how they split up your body, because the total BF percentage is NOT calculated by adding the BF percentages up and dividing them. They would take the mass of each body part into account when calculating it.
