Whats the difference between a whey protein and an amino acid product such as xtend. Do they achieve the same results or do different things?

Also has anyone heard of PT health and nutrition...4kg of wpc $74 bucks on ebay, any good? Any better options?

Thanks

Xtend = Free form (meaning not in peptitde bound or 'joined together') Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's) and L-Gluatmine. Requires no digestion/breakdown in the digestive tract.

Whey Protein = A 'complete' & 'whole' (as in whole food) protein source. Has all the 8 Essential Amino acids (which the BCAA are 20-25%) the 12 Non Essential Amino Acids (which L-Glutamine is 15%)which makes it a 'complete' source. The Amino acids are peptide bound which makes them a 'whole' form of protein. It requires to be digested/broken down in the digestive tract.

So as you can see you don't really need to consume BCAA's. Dairy protein is 20-20% BCAA and Meat's contain 18-205 BCAA. The Whey protein is a useful tool if you struggle to consume the total amount of protein your require per day. :)

For peace of mind use http://www.bulknutrients.com.au/ for you protein needs. ;)
