'Necrobumping', for those who aren't aware, is the art of resurrecting threads that have slipped off the front page of their forum and into the catacombs of pages 2-10, usually never to be seen again by all but the bravest of forum adventurers in their search for a missing post or to find a long since disappeared user.

The reasons for this are many - it could be that the thread has reached its logical conclusion (a question has been answered), its time may have passed , or perhaps it was just never destined to be a thread that would get much attention.

But as is the case in any good tomb, there's always treasure to be had.
Sometimes a thread slips down because everyone who was there at the time has had their say, sometimes it slips because everyone was waiting for a reply that never came, and sometimes threads just get missed.

So, Ausbb'ers, today I ask you all to venture into the depths of pages three and beyond. Find an interesting thread that you might not have seen before - one that you might have something interesting to add to, and bring it back to life.

Come on everybody
Do the necrobump with me

I've always gotten off on necrobumping. There's some gold to be had in them there thread archives. I'll have to try and show some restraint, otherwise I could easily necrobump the shit out of this place.

On most other forums you get flamed for necrobumping. Good to see that some things are different.

That's what I thought this post was about lol

I started reading it, and I was like, "oh, admin actually wants us to do this?" lol

yep have come across this too , as you see i have nothing against resurrecting dead posts

Love the good old necrohump, now we can all do it in the comfort of our own homes and not have to go to stalk graveyards and shit..

Thanks for the heads up - like pistachio said ages ago, I was surprised to read that you are encouraging this!

I suppose it's better to necrobump than have 2 threads.
