Hi,

Im 17 years old, and I'm just wondering what the average amount of push-ups is for a person of my age ?

Thanks
Klogic

haven't come across any stats for averages, only a guide that 25 is about right , but really there is no bar saying you must be this high at this stage everyone develops differently everyone performs differently , don't worry about what others are doing just worry about yourself

Here is an excellent pushup program;

If you can do 20 pushups on the floor with no problem, put a couple of books under your feet and raise your lower body up higher. As that becomes easier, slowly add more books, then moving up to a stool, then a chair, then a counter top, etc. Eventually you will put your feet on the wall, with a final goal of doing pushups upside down!

I never thought of lifting my legs/lower body when I was 17, it would have helped me so much more.

There is no average. I used to be able to 150. 3 sets of 50. But I had played footy since i was 5 yrs old and I did judo for about 4 years as well.
