Negotiate before you hop on?

Is it true they the boob job only last a few years and after that few years you need to redo it again?

I wonder if op will post a pic of herself and let us decide if a boob job is needed? Or am I just dreaming hee hee

Just a few points I like to tell people considering cosmetic surgery.

If you needed a CABG (heart bypass) would you ask around to find the cheapest surgeon around and travel to a 3rd world country to get it at an even cheaper price? Probably not.

Would you not want to know much about your surgeon? Or find out if they're a qualified specialist, or just someone who did an MBBS but isn't good enough to do specialist training? (Hint: Cosmetic surgeons are not a recognised specialty. Plastics and re-constructive surgeons are, anyone with an MBBS can call themselves a cosmetic surgeon, a kid straight out of med school can call themselves one)

Look in to what materials they're going to use, what procedure they use (new, more expensive method through the underarms or old method where they cut out the nipple and put the implants in that way). If its surgery that is meant to make you look good, do you want boobs that guys will avoid looking at due to the scars or boobs that look nice cause there are not any scars and the implants are high quality and look nice instead of cheap water balloons under the skin.

Look in to it, spend good money and ensure you're getting something good done by someone qualified. A lot of people die having cosmetic procedures because unlike every other form of surgery, they don't think it is a big deal. You're getting knocked out, cut open (infection risk), shit implanted in you (which is a huge infection risk) and then sent home to recover. I sure as fuck wouldn't go to a third world country where the doctor with a shitty history of killing patients or general malpractice can perform free. Instead of in a tightly regulated country like here.

But hey, if you wanna save a few bucks. Go for it.

i got told by someone in the industry here that they have heard reports of people going to thailand etc and ending up with surgery they weren't meant to have. one woman went for a nose job and ended up with breast implants. not sure who they went through but apparently you get a name tag on you when you are knocked out and they mixed her name tag by mistake resulting in incorrect surgery. they also said that if things go wrong you are then up for a lot more money to fix it way above what you would have paid in the first place and trickier surgery which could end badly anyway depending on how much damage was done originally

What's this about almonds making you depressed????

I'm quoting 2 articles here.

ayushveda.com said:
Do you often feel low and depressed after eating certain food items like almonds, coconut, apple or brazil nut amongst others? If yes, then don't be too surprised as it has been found that certain food items can lead to symptoms of depression in a person. Till now people generally believed that emotional ups and downs or psychological disorders were the prime factor leading to a person feeling low and depressed. However, it has been found that certain food items, especially if eaten in excess, can lead to the problem of depression.

I completely agree with this article, as I've had short-term depression after eating an excessive amount of almonds. I was like "nuh, this can't be right" - I went to Google and typed in "almonds cause depression" and got results.

Almonds may help fight anxiety and depression in several ways. According to the Calm Clinic website, these nuts are rich in vitamin B12 and zinc, both of which are thought to be mood enhancers. They are also a good replacement for sugary snacks. Almonds also help boost iron levels, which is important if you suffer from fatigue. If you have insufficient levels of iron in your bloodstream, this boost may give you the energy you need to exercise, helping to combat the effects of depression and anxiety.

I disagree with this article because they obviously just went off research from the Internet, and didn't try eating an excessive amount of almonds to witness the negative effects they cause (depression). Plus, them using the word "may" suggests they're not even sure with what they're writing themselves.

I'm pretty sure if there was a +rep system on these forums, I would have just been +rep'd ;)

Don't know if this thread is still current but here is my 2 cents.

I know a few girls who have had them done in Thailand and all have had no issues whatsoever. One of which is extremely well off, she had them done in Thailand as she was confident the job done there would be every bit as good as Australia and the results are impressive.

When you consider the scare mongers out there, if there were more issues, you'd think we'd here about them all the time. With the kind of people who run Today Tonight and shows such as that, they are always on the lookout for a headline, so the fact we don't see more of this, is perhaps an example that the results are likely in most cases good.

Thai Surgeons are almost always trained in the U.K. Australia or the U.S. the standards of the hospitals there are amazing, many are really like 5 star hotels.

Though we think that the prices (on average about $3000 compared to $10,000 here) is cheap, in comparison the surgeons there are extremely well off, compared to the surgeind here.
They may charge 1/4 of the price of what is charged in Australia, where the average Thai wage is less than 1/20th of what we get here, so there is nothing "cheap" about the work they are performing.

Thai surgeons conduct a lot of jobs on "lady boys" who are men who have sex changes. I've always thought if you can make breasts look good on a man who has very little natural breast tissue, then getting them right on a woman should be a cinch.

If you do decide to go, just do as much research as possible. Talk to people who have been there to the actual clinic, get personal recommendations, email and phone the hospitals, ask for photos, speak to the Dr, do everything you can to assure yourself you are getting work done by a speacilist.

Valid point bf. Here's some evidence to back your theory.
