The thing that strikes me the most with the old timers compared to today is how they make posing look so natural and effortless, it's a thing of beauty
High blood pressure makes it very hard to hold a static pose. Alternatively, a static pose has a substantial effect on raising blood pressure. With all the supraphysiological doses of testosterone today's bodybuilders are engaging in, I say it's an incredible feat to be able to hold a static pose in the first place without suffering a heart attack in the process. Some can hardly breath after (say) a most muscular pose.
