Barrett going to seek a release from Manly today, may end up back at Penrith from where he came.
Broncos board looking to cut Bennett's contract at end of season. Bennett already is feeling out other Clubs.

They have the wobbles again.
Anything less than a top 4 finish will be a failure seeing that they have lead the comp virtually all year.

Gus comes out and says he can work with Bennett. Gus not sure if Bennett can work with him. Meninga says if Bennett goes to Penrith Gus should leave.

Bennett isn't going to Penrith with Gus in charge. I'll bet Shrek's arse on it!

Remember the old adage "don't quit your current Job unless you've got another to go to". Notice Barrett quit Manly days after Penrith sacked Griffin. He's eyeing a return to Penrith I reckon. Gus'd prefer him too I reckon.

Yeah but these guys are extremely wealthy already. A few months without a gig ain’t gonna hurt. Especially Bennet.

I didn't mean that from an ordinary Man's perspective, I just meant he saw the opportunity to return to Penrith and leave Manly, so he jumped.
 
Maybe, though Greg Alexander as late as yesterday that Barrett has not come up in their board meeting discussions.
