The Bulk Nutrients Seal Of Approval
The Bulk Nutrients seal of approval isn't just another tacky meaningless logo - although it may look it at first glance!
If you are wondering why we have come up with it, the explanation is quite simple. After spending hundreds of hours in recent months reviewing a lot of other products on the market some things became very clear.
While not false advertising in the traditional sense, we realised that many people were being quite mislead when it came to advertising around certain products and what was included in them.
The main problem is that while many companies claim certain benefits in their marketing due to the inclusion of various ingredients, the inclusion rate in the products are more than often so low, that any connection is laughable. A great example is a popular BCAA product. While the product mixes and tastes great, and contains a good dose of BCAA's per serve (assuming you are less than 70kg's), they also link the products to studies which include Citrulline Malate - which is in the product.
Now, while this looks good, as many people know Citrulline Malate can increase training volume, Vo2 Max and have a positive effects on strength, if you don't have enough it isn't going to do much at all.
That is where this product (and their marketing) falls down, while they link it to studies which show positive results when 6 grams is used a day, the actual product in question only includes 1g of Citrulline Malate!
It's a bit like a dietitian telling you that you need to eat 180g of Protein a day to get proper muscle gains. You decide, yeah protein is great, but only eat 30g, and then wonder why you don't grow! Studies use certain doses for a reason, as they prove that the ingredients will work, if those doses are taken.
It's like building a race car that uses 500ml of fuel a minute at full revs, if you put a fuel pump on it that only flows 100ml's, then that car won't make any power.
That, is the crux of the Bulk Nutrients seal of approval. If you see this seal, you are guaranteed that not only proven ingredients are included (100% pharmaceutical grade amino acids and extracts), but more importantly, they are used in the exact same doses that are found in studies.
While, of course this doesn't guarantee that you will have the same results as test subjects in the studies, however we figure that when designing products this is the best place to start and anything less is going to mean a far lesser chance of getting results.
Proven ingredients in proven doses, and we have the studies to back it up. We encourage all of our customers to do their own research on what works and what doesn't, and recommend pubmed.com as as a great place to start.
It is a huge database of International research studies and is an invaluable tool for finding research and validation on anything to do with sports nutrition.
