Unhappy Cheng Chung Chih - 66kg Sub-junior deadlifts 290kg for the Open Asian record

Pulled raw in an equipped comp but actually beats the raw Open WR by 22.5kg. FML.

there is no real world record, there are IPF records, GPC, GPA, WDFPF, and so on. I think there are nine international feds at moment.

There can only be one world record if all feds are unified, or they recognise each other.

We can list all time records, but it does not really mean much given major differences between feds.

Meh, IPF world records are about as real as they get. At least you know the standards are as legit as they can be across the board there.

Edit: and that's not to take anything away from Lamar Gant, he was a beast, but he did pic the bar up, drop it, then try again in one attempt.

I wont get into, but there are severe inconsistencies within the IPF itself.

Are you stupid? The real world record is the one that is more than anyone else has done at that body weight. You know, the world record.
Also Dan Austin has the record, not Lamar Gant

There are no absolute world records anymore, although the IPF is generally most respected. A record is something recognised by a sport. When there are many feds, it is simply becomes confusing.

What you may say is that this guy lifted most weight ever in accordance to weighing in a certain division.
