isnt squatting 3 times a week going to be "overtraining"? This is what I was doing for quite a while but I think it took its toll after a few months

i think my form is pretty good. I was squatting 120kg, 3 times a week and started to feel it... I backed off for a couple of months and just doing 100kg to get the feel for it again. I was doing a fullbody workout for the last 3-4 months. I've just gone back to a 2day split as of last week...

;) yeah I will be focusing on lifting heavier in the next few sessions and see how I go. I guess something like deadlifts are a lot easier to try heavier weight, if its too much I can just drop it. If I've got too much weight on the bench though... different story :/

definately grip, I just started using straps to help out, but even then I feel it's a bit tough. I'm doing deadlifts on wednesday, I will experiment with some more weight and see how it goes, and what difficulties i have. Cheers.

? Why's it any different to bench? Most people I know talk about the weight they bench, not including the bar..? In that case im deadlifting 100kg.

do any of the big boys on here have a video of THEMSELVES doing deadlifts? I'd like to see someone from the actual forum doing them so I can see the size vs strength. Also, you guys aren't including the bar weight in your total lift are you? I add 80kg to the bar, not sure how much it weighs?

I'm sure he can be helpful, I'm not "intepreting" anything. It's quite obvious he is taking the piss out of me. I almost feel like we are talking about two different exercises though, there are a lot of decent sized people in my gym, and I don't often see people deadlifting 150kg+?

thanks for some of the responses. For the ***** saying im not lifting hard enough and just putting on fat, you are wrong. I didn't say im just putting on fat, my strength and muscle mass has been going up, but at the same time I've been adding a bit of extra fat from keeping my calories up (not...

was a skinny bastard when i was younger, I've put on about 25kg~ since I started working out. I was making the point that my strength is in proportion, so it's kinda pointless telling me I shouldnt cut until I've reached a certain strength limit. Having increased my strength (whether it is a...

lol ok mate. I don't think my deadlifts are out of proportion compared to my other lifts. Also didn't realise I had to workout my max 1 rep weight to get approval from you to cut.

Ive never seen a woman deadlifting 80kg in any of the gyms ive gone to before. I'm more than happy with my strength/muscle gains over the past few years. The "facts" are, I've put on more fat than I want, and I was asking for advice on cutting cycles. Having a dig at what I deadlift is just...

um what? I'm not sure if you are trying to be offensive or not, if so, good on you. Didnt ask for a critique of my current workout. I just wanted some information from some people who have alternated regularly between bulking and cutting.

I'm 23, deadlifting 80kg with straps, 35kg dumbbells on flat bench, shoulders 25kg dumbbells. Are thrusters the squat/shoulder press exercise? Would I be doing these with light weight (low intense high reps)? Doing these in a "bulking" phase is still going to counteract isnt it??

Hi, I've been bulking for a few years now, I'm sitting at about 93-94kg. I was hoping to bulk all the way and then just cut when I was happy with size, but unfortunately the increasing belly size I've had to re-think it through. Ideally I'd like to be 100kg with < 10% body fat (I'm 6"2). I...
