    Certified product ratings!

I saw those, but I'd like to see dynamic testing. For example, drop a loaded bar onto the safeties on a squat rack and see what happens.

Who at your gym deserves recognition?

No one that I can see. And it's a home gym too :(

    My CrossFit Journey

Spam, or troll? Crossfit is bad enough as it is, but for an unfit person not long after having their guts cut open? 8 weeks is no where near enough time to heal properly.

Cycling, not the kind usually mentioned here

2012 Merida CX. I don't know that I'd call anything I do training, but I like to go for a ~40km ride at least once a week. Further if I've got more time. It's just nice getting outside, so depending on mood/weather it's a choice of running, bike or kayak.

What's your best advice for someone deciding to take up running?

Learn to run on your forefoot. It takes a while to build strength in your feet/ankles up, but it's worth it. Much easier on your joints, more efficient use of energy, and if you start to tread on a rock or something you can stop most of the downward force.

    Shaving And You.

DE razor. Blades are very, very cheap, and it does a better job than those multibladed contraptions to boot. Haven't tried a cut throat, but apart from the fear factor I couldn't be bothered on the upkeep of the blade.

home gym users - how often do you do it?

I'd never go to an actual gym, so home gym for me is fantastic. Can set the temperature how I like it, music I like, sweat on everything, and there's only one dickhead to deal with (i.e me).

    Ausbb Fish keeping

Personally I like sumps. All the plumbing, heaters, filters, etc are hidden in the cabinet below, makes everything look neater. Plus you're generally skimming water from the surface, which clears off the film that can form on the top, and removes anything else floating too. They also make...

New House - New gym ...at Home

For exercise bike, I've got a normal road bike (actually CX, but who cares), and a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. Clamps on to the rear QR skewer and has a roller that presses against the wheel. Works pretty well, costs $500 for the KK + $500->$50,000 for the bike. KK are generally regarded as...

    Venom

I've tried the Venom sample pack. I thought that all of the flavours tasted pretty similar, kinda caramely. Except watermelon, that was nasty. Went with Bulk Nutrients, tastes better IMHO. Though they could do with more flavour too. Chocolate that tastes like chocolate would be good. Just...

Everything You Need To Know About Aftershave

Multi blade razors are terrible. Get yourself a double edged safety razor. Blades cost in the order of 10c each, and it gives a much better shave than the multis. Or you could get a cutthroat if you're game, I couldn't be bothered looking after it though. Plus I don't like the idea of waving...

    [Cycling] Bike purchasing

My bike is a Merida Cross 4, which has 700C wheels and a higher geering, which probably makes the difference notable. I've got 50-34 (not stock) & 27-12 , compared to your 44-22 and 34-11. Road I go on wanders between smooth and rough, and plenty of bumps, potholes and loose gravel. Anything...

    [Cycling] Bike purchasing

Has your MTB got suspension? If it does, every time you push down on your peddle you're also pushing down on the front suspension, and that takes off a lot of power. Also curious about the terrain you were riding on. My bike is a (rigid) CX that came with 35mm CX tires, changed them to 25mm...

    Mark Hamill back in gym

The last three don't exist, sorry. I remember hearing about a bad practical joke, but thankfully nothing came of it.

The first three films were pretty good. Kinda glad they didn't make any more after those.

    [Cycling] Bike purchasing

Don't buy a hybrid, they're good at nothing. If you're only going to ride on the road get either a road bike or cyclocross bike. Suspension is only any use on MTB, otherwise it just saps your power and gives you extra weight to lug around. Road handles are much more comfortable on my wrists...

Would you rather be huge or strong

This should have been a poll. I'd rather be strong, because even if I'm big I won't be pretty :( And you can get huge without being strong. I've just whipped up a batch of synthol, anyone wanna share?

    Where to next?

I wouldn't suggest a juice diet for anyone. If the fiber is stripped out you're basically just drinking sugar. Personally I don't find liquid foods (juice, smoothies, soups) to be filling either, but YMMV. You want a diet that you can maintain, not a fad that will throw your body around, make...
