    Swimming laps - waste of time?

    I suppose at the end of the day, any cardio is better than none. I read somewhere that swimming can slow down recovery time after muscle strains but can't remember where I read it!

    On non-lift days I try and stick to cardio, I tend to run, sometimes go out on my bike but a friend of mine has just bought a resistance pool, and he says I can use it any time and to be honest I've always preferred swimming, just never get to the pool when it's quiet enough for me. But how good...

    Single Income Partnerships/Marriage

    I don't think I'd feel comfortable not working if my kids were at high school. Fair enough when they're little but once they're bigger everyone should contribute, even if it's just part time. It's a good lesson for the kids too, to see both parents bringing some money in, it instills a good work...

    Breaking Bad

    We're just finishing the first series now. To be honest we weren't sure if we'd carry on but it sounds like it's worth sticking with. Loved the Wire, once I worked out what was being said. Also, Californication. If you haven't seen any watch it.
