    Power Racks

I'm sorry, but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard....what's stir fry without a bit of soy sauce :/

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

Ahh, fair enough then. Yeah the matrix looked fantastic but with room constraints, I really needed one with a lat-attachment as well. Well, hopefully you find a new place soon!

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

The exact same one with swivel pulleys is available on ebay for like 400. Not sure what shipping would cost though. I suppose a big wingspan and a cable crossover is the perfect combination if you're not sure if you should go for it or a functional trainer. Lucky haha. What do you mean you...

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

Will do. For 200-300, I suppose it may not be as multi-purpose as a functional trainer, or even as a cable crossover with moveable settings, but it should suffice for the time being. I'm just concerned that since it's probably going to be a 1:1 ratio, will I even be able to get a full ROM if i...

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

If you're referring to what I think you are when you say 'sled', I don't really have the room to use it unfortunately. No it's not that. It's just that because of where I live, most of the stuff I'm buying is being shipped so I'm trying to get everything at once to save on shipping costs/time...

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

I've got a set of adjustable dumbbells which are sufficient weight for now, will be upgrading when the times arrives. I've got an olympics barbell, about 157kg of olympic weights (waited months for them to be ready, the iron edge rubber coated ones), set of power rings, a powertec power rack...

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

If i was buying a functional trainer, I agree, but i've found a fixed pulley cable crossover machine for like 200-300. And i've already got a rack, barbell, dumbbell, weights, some KB, and some olympic rings. I was only considering the fixed pulley crossover because it was so cheap.

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

Already got them all :) Unless I decide to get more KB's which I may need, I take it that you're an advocate of the Cablecrossover as opposed to the functional trainer?

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

haha fair enough then. With respect to the better bar or more weight, i've already got 160kg of weights, it'll be a while before I reach that much on any exercises, so i'm set on the front, and because that's all the weight i've got atm, the bar i bought from ironedge will be more than...

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

With your post count, i'm not sure if you're srs. Unless i've misread something, it's effectively something very similar to a cable crossover, except that it is not as wide, meaning the cables are closer to each other so you're not stretching as far to grab them, and have the pulleys adjustable...

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

Oh I should have mentioned, i've had a gym membership for the past two years, but I was never one used the functional trainers/cable crossovers for any dual-cable exercise. With uni, my own equipment would be much more useful, so I'm a beginner insofar that i've never been one to purchase...

    Cablecross over/Functional trainer help

Hi guys, I've been hitting my head against the wall for a while now. On the weekend, my dad's decided that he's fed up with my inability to make a decision and is forcing me to make a purchase (for which he'll be partially paying, so i'm not complaining haha) Anyway, at first I was tossing up...

Mixing bumpers and smaller diameter plates - breaking bumpers

Over time you will fuck them up. Simply put the weight that is on the bar will actually only be supported by that weight that touches the floor. Putting aside technique bumper plates, a standard bumper plate is only designed to support its own weight, hence the 25kg 20kg 15kg 10kg and 5kg plates...

    Monster G6?

Sorry for bringing back a thread that died off, but it seems to the best one to ask this in. If I have the option to buy a monster g6 for 2000 ( only used for 3 months), a powertec power rack with lat attachment new for 1350, (or just for the sake of argument, a new brute force 180 pt for...

    Best power rack? OPINIONS PLEASE

Fortunately, I found out it will be VERY easy to attach the MMPR chin up bar to the powertec rack (will only cost 45 for the chin up bar and ~5 for the additional materials.)

    Best power rack? OPINIONS PLEASE

In all fairness, when you're spending in excess of 1000 and are a student meaning you don't have a full time job, indecisiveness can be justified, otherwise you may end up stuck with something that doesn't suit your needs 100% and don't have any way to remedy the situation

Custom Fabrication for pullup bars in Aus?

haha yeah, when my eyes wandered to the uprights which would line up with my chest, my jaw dropped :/

Custom Fabrication for pullup bars in Aus?

Agreed, but it has one of the better lat pull down attachments.

Custom Fabrication for pullup bars in Aus?

I'd definitely be removing the existing pullup bars, but im just not sure whether i should also remove the bar they're attached on, or place the MM mutligrip bar just behind it.
