sht man reading that reminds me when i started at the gym and got laughed out of there by the bigger stronger guys.i ran home crying and told my mum.

luckily u didnt get kung foo-ed from the sound of it.you are one of those guys that hogs all the equipment.coulda let him work in.easy to adjust the stack.wheres ur manners?

Kunce had no etiquette, you dont talk to someone in the middle of their set, thats just retarded, any kunce who has 2 brain cells to rub together knows that, you from a cave too, or just missing the cells, gerry?

I never ask to work in, especially if there's already two blokes on there. I just go on with something else and come back... Then again, I never train when the places are packed. Can't stand not being able to move properly without some other kunce being in your personal space.

But agreed, I ignore anyone that tries to talk to me in the middle of a set. I'd say I've got another 10 sets just for him being a rude kunce to begin with

Depending on where you train, I usually get my memberships cheaper cos I can only use it half the year ;)

Yesterday I walked up to a completely empty squat rack with an empty bar, planning on doing squats. Put my towel down and some bro dude runs across the gym saying he was using it in a 'as if you can't see I'm using it' tone. Fine, whatever. He then supersetted bicep curls with finger forearm curls. I would forgive a newbie, but I've seen that dude around for a while.

I would have hung around nearby to see what he was using it for.... then when he started up that chit would have given him the "you've got to be kidding me, can't you use a preset 20kg barbell?"

I don't think he'd care. He's one of those guys who trains arms every workout and has average arms at best.

I saw a perfectly functioning back row machine get replaced a fancy and inferior hemmer strength machine.

My gym did the same thing, had really good fitting / feeling machines (Natulis I think) and they replaced them all with new, big and clumsy looking Hammer Strength machines.

Too big you reckon?
Only got 3 bits of HS stuff at our work gym - rack and the two difference leg presses. I much prefer pressing on the HS stuff than the cheaper stuff.

Do they intimidate you?

Or you just prefer the motion of other machines?

A little and the old stuff was a better fit while being smaller at the same time, sort of more contoured around the body.
HS is OK, but agricultural looking.
