Your Goals

I don't get what the deal with people wanting to be banned is.

You do realise you don't need to be banned to stop logging on and posting?

Trying to get banned is worse than doing one of those "This is my final post" threads.

My Goal - to be so super hot that i turn heads where ever i go and squat 80kg.
Thats all.

I have contributed before although not a lot.
I'm not suggesting that I am someone with much to offer, but I know of some guys who have acheived more than I and who have plenty to offer and they check out this forum and see how the threads play out and see there isn't much point.
I have a mate who is one of the best bench pressers in the world- he said to me the best thing to happen to powerlifting is the internet- because of the profile and exposure and the opportunity to share ideas. The worst thing to happen is also the internet- where people engage in pointless ego battles with very little respect. I have seen this again and again where guys with heaps to offer get caught up in ridiculous squabbles and then realise the people they are debating with aren't interested in getting better or smarter, but just making themselves feel special by arguing for the sake of it or saying stupid things.

The world is not perfect and sometimes things happen that upset some people.

I've been on many forums (I guess you have too) and I have not been on one where there hasn't been squabbles, but this forum by far has the least.
I'm not begging you to stay, you can do whatever you like but don't make out that we are a bunch of **** because of this incident.

Now if you really want to be banned just say the word and I will.

So- I don't think I am special or knowledgable- but this is why I have held back- like I said I have seen how threads play out here. This is also what irritates me about this forum and why I have decided to play like you guys. Lets call each other names. Call the wrong person something get banned. Observations of a troll??? Yeah whatever. Another last post post?? Yeah whatever.
Another last post post??? Yeah whatever.
So I figured this forum is more about a little drama, mindless remarks mixed in with some ego. Ban me then give yourself a pat on the back. One less idiot. Your forum is what you make it.

You only get out what you put in...

We all come from different walks of life and we all have something to share. I suppose the best thing that was happening around here is developing more of a less anonymous style forum. BB.com and other aussie forums seem to turn to shit. people have a user name log on and talk crao to one another.

I dont think anyone wants that here... The problem is we are all a bunch of novices lifitng at home or in gyms. Witht he exception of a few. We all need to learn more and people need to be open to new ideas.

Life is constant learning, and changing of ideas... People need to be open to this. I dont know why things went down hill recently. All i can say is markos got banned because markos wanted to get banned. It is as simple as that. He knows it we all know it.

If he didnt want to get banned then he would not of been. That doesnt kill the forum. it doesnt make it any less. It simply means we have lost someone but life goes on. I think markos parting with ausbb will be alot better for him. I think he wanted to run his own forum for a while but he didnt have any reason to so he just stayed here. He has started his own forum now and thats what he wanted to do.

What shits me is people coming in chiming in after winging about crap that has nothing to do with them. Im not refering to you, just a few other people who seem to want to have cracks at people now markos is gone like they need to stick up for him? Markos is a big boy he can stand up for himself. He doesnt need puppets trolling around forums with anonymous usernames talking crap.

Everyone just needs to man up and get on with life. As i said everyone is here to learn and we all need as much info as we can. The reason so much time gets spent in "misc" is because the majority of the memebrs are novice (myself included) and what exactly can we offer people? Besides out limited perosonal experience. Its people like you Spritcha that we look to for info... and we need alot more of it.

Steve, i enjoyed your post about your training when you first started and how you got to where you are. it was very informative. Maybe if the strong guys could just start a thread about how they got to where they are that would be helpful and inspiring. A little bit like Dave Tate is doing on tnation with iron evolution. doesn't have to be as long.
