I have only had one session of deadlifts with a trainer prior to today. I did my first set this morning without my trainer, and started on a very low weight, so I could practice form (having watched numerous Youtube videos on the subject last night just to be double sure I remembered my traners advice).
However, during the set, when moving my body upright during one of the Reps, I damaged a stomach / ab muscle ont he left hand side. Its not painful right now (i.e. when not exercising) but when deliberately try and find the muscle by tensing it and pressing on it, its a sore.
Whilst I'll probably need to rest up / see my phyiso, any ideas on what idiotic thing I've done worng this morning?
I started with a warm up walk, did some pull-ups, then proceeded to the deadlift.
Cheers
