anyone had real wrist pain??

just wondering if anyone on here has ever had a problem with their wrists?? i used to be a sponsored skateboarder and have snapped my right one twice so its already a bit behind the 8ball. anyone else have problems?? if so how do you overcome it?

Is it enough pain to stop you lifting? If so maybe you need an operation to rectify it. Have you seen a specialist?
 
gday adrian nah its not enough pain to stop lifting. it doesnt even hurt only a bit niggle when you bend it fully forward or back. i think it might be a bit of a tender tendon. might just wear a wrist suppert to sop it bending. does anyone use wrist braces?? any good ones on the market??

ah ok do you use a wrist support or brace of some sort?? i can find where its tender if i bury my finger deep into the top of my wrist. its only just started being a bit niggly. how do you stretch it??
 
mine gets sore on the thumb side where joins to arm, in the wrist. mine to hurts when hand is pulled back or forwards. i just bought some wrist straps to see if it helps support it a bit. i find forearm stretched help. and i have noticed as well when my wrist is sore the muscels on forearm hurt as well. i thought maybe the wrist soreness couldbe caused by tight muscles or adhesions in the forearm muscles. as when i massage the forearm and do heat treatment on it the wrist doestn hurt as bad.
 
stuffed my wrists back in the day skateboarding too,I use a futuro wrist wrap around the wrist and then put gym gloves on also,works good but is only usefull for benchpress since it restricts the wrists free movement and is uncomfortable for doin curls and stuff.
 
yeah have seen them. i might have to invest in some. i have just been taping it for now. and seems to help. so this wrap might be good. have also seen the wrap with thumb ring in the same brand. might grab that one.

just went to my local fitness store and bought a set of dynamic lifting gloves with wrist straps. they seem to really tighten that area up and keen to use them tomorrow night. will let yous know how i go. cheers alex
 
ive decided ill go to a physio next week to see whats wrong. wrist may just need rest, i ice it after every work out now, then when i go to bed a wrap a heated gel pad thing around it . hoping that will work for now. not exactly painful its just annoying.
 
gday brendon. yeah might be the way to go get it checked out properly. i have been using a glove ith a strap and its not hurtning anymore which is good. still niggles every now and then doing other things. a physio might be able to tell you exactly what it is.
