Forearm pain

I've recently had some pain in the underside/outside of my left forearm, close to the wrist. It is not incredibly painful, more like a dull sensation. It only occurs when I put down the weight after barbell or dumbell curls (but not hammer curls).

I have been using neurofen cream to reduce inflamation and have been trying to avoid exercises which exacerbate it too much.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what it is and what causes it? Is it a tendon issue? Would I benefit from some form of wrist support?

Thanks in advance guys :)

Sounds like forearm splints. I get them a lot and absolutly hate them, especially when they start hurting when doing kendo. I think the only cure is to rest it for a few weeks, and then concentrate on doing wrist curls to strengthen your forearms. I get them when simply moving dumbells from the ground to my knees and when putting them back on the bench.
