Wide-Grip Benchpressing

hey guys , got a few questions about wide-grip benchpress's.

Does it work the chest and take triceps out of it?

How wide of a grip is recommended for this and how far do you go down ?

You should find a point where you're happy with it. Slightly wider than shoulder width. No need to change it week in week out IMO.

You can do a close-grip bench which puts the focus on the triceps (just remember to reduce the weight first!!)

I don't have a bench to do these, but you should have your hands or your elbows at 90 degrees roughly.
Do like a normal bench press, down to your chest and back up.

hey mate when doin wide grip bench press try goin about 4 inches wider aside and when your lowering the bar try not to touch your chest with the bar you should stop about 3-4 inches of the chest. or if your doin flat bench come down till your upper arms are parrallel with the ground. .and your triceps will always get worked in pressing movements..

Why not pre fatigue the tri's - work them first, and then do chest? Works well for some.
