I have just started taking supplements other then protein power since having a look at the internet and BB forums.

Recently I bought some Creatine mono and have been taking that every day, i think its doing something as I seem to have a little more power in the gym.

My question is what would be the basic supps that you would recommend to a beginner/intermediate? apart from protein and eating right, Glutamine?

I don't want to be spending 100s of dolars a month on crappy supps such as workout intesifiers blah bla, I juat want some basic proven supps that will help me get there.

Nope creatine and good diet is plenty for begginners.
You could supplement with some fish oil and maybe a good multi vitamin.

Yeah I am taking fishoil, swiss multi and glucosamine(knee problem)

Does glucosamine help your knee much?
Not sure, I just take it as a precaution and hopefully long term recovery of the ligaments. I dislocated it bad a couple of years ago and it troubles me every now and then.

Also with all the heavy weights we lift it can't be good for our joints.
